But the truth is…
Sick people don’t understand it either. They wish they could knock it off, but since they can’t, they welcome all of the attention they’re getting. That’s why it makes no sense to ask a sick person, “Do you know how sick you are?” It’s like asking a billionaire, “Do you know how wealthy you are?” Not only is it a dumb question…it’s a compliment.
But the truth is…
They have a complex. Short guys hate to be called “adorable.” Tall guys hate to hear, ”You ought to play basketball.” They know people are just trying to compliment them, but they’re sick of hearing it. Well tough! Stop getting mad at people who don’t mean any harm. Learn to embrace it. Get one of those t-shirts that says, “I’m not short…I’m fun size!”
