But the truth is…

They’re just trying to make themselves feel better about stealing them.  It’s like carjacking someone and then driving around with a sign in the window that says, “This car is not mine unless otherwise stated.”

Your new lover wants to “take things slow” because they were “hurt” in a previous relationship.

But the truth is…

They didn’t get hurt.  In fact, they’re probably the one who did all of the hurting.  And now, they’re setting you up to be their next victim by making you feel sorry for them.
